By MiKE:

There hasn't been a real field trip in a while, cause lately we've just been hanging out and taking only 20 pictures a night. Those aren't enough to be field-trip worthy!! But there was a Battle of the Bands at "Scrubdust" so me, Mya, and her friend Jaimie went for the hell of it.

I wait for them at Scott Road skytrain station, and I've underestimated the sharp drop in fucking temperature recently. I was wearing just a t-shirt, and I thought my fucking balls were going to freeze to the bench. Luckily that didn't happen because they DISAPPEARED after half an hour in the stinging cold. Soon Mya and Jaimie came and I jumped into the Skytrain, it was nice and warm in there and I was happy to be defrosting.

Scrubdust shows are never as good as regular ones, mostly cause they're packed with teenyboppers, and there's no moshing at all. I forgot what bands played, I didn't pay much attention. A couple were really good though.

Anyways we just hung around there and took pictures, it was ok. The best part was when we got outta there, and these was this kid in a little shirt who got kicked out. He was yelling at the lady, and she was like "get off the property" and he was like "I'm on the parking lot!". Then, nearly in tears, he said "I said I was fucking sorry!" and runs off, and the lady was like "that sounds like a real fucking sincere apology!". It was extremely difficult to avoid rolling on the ground laughing my ass off.

Then we went to the parking lot by Surrey Place Mall and chilled there for a while. Mya climbed on top of a 15 foot high stack of palettes, and then she found a shopping cart and rode around in that. "This is my caaaaar!". Good times.

It was a fun night, even though I should have worn more layers of clothing to avoid freezing solid. Go gawk at the pics!
